Dan Bowden

Dan is a late addition to the dancing world starting at the age of 18, dancing now for eight years.  In that time however, dancing has taken over as the main focus of his life.  He has spent over one hundred hours on stage and has gained teaching and performance experience in tap, hip-hop acrobatics and many other styles as an open class & performance based teacher all over Australia.

Performing in many competitions and musicals,  he had experience in amateur performances including the lead male role for Dirty Dancing and even made an appearance on ‘Strictly Dancing’ (ABC).  Through extreme dedication to the art he has quickly found his way into the professional world of dance, working with hip-hop, acrobatics and cheer crew ‘Get Phunk’ and working with the famous dance group Raw Dance Company performing with their funk tap group ‘Raw Metal’.

As a very versatile dancer, Dan has trained in many styles including; Classical tap, funk, funk tap, hip-hop, cheerleading, acrobatics, break dancing, street Latin, jazz, song and dance, modern ballet and contemporary dance.  He looks forward to making his mark on the dance industry every waking day and teaching here at Mad Dance House is one of the perfect ways to do so, whether its showing veterans of tap how to mix their old steps with newer music or teaching fresh tappers that it’s never too late to start! To Dan, the two best feelings he has experienced on this earth are pulling off a perfect performance that you have worked hard on to an applauding crowd and inspiring his students to do things they never believed they could.
