Tammi is coming into her fourth year of teaching at Mad Dance House, and has been dancing since she was just a little girl. Trained in Jazz from an early age, Tammi is no stranger to the stage, performing in her first musical at the age of four, as the youngest member, where she sang, danced and acted alongside teenagers.
Throughout her childhood she performed in countless stage shows and nationally televised events. Due to her early love of the stage, limelight and performance, she brings an encouraging vibe to her students to find, nurture and release their inner performer.
Tammi teaches Hip Hop, her street style of dance has elements of Jazz, with a flirty edge. A methodical teacher, Tammi takes her time to ensure that even the newest and most inexperienced dancer is comfortable and learns as much as they can in class, she watches her students closely keeping an eye on their progress and nurturing and encouraging their growth as a dancer, helping them to gain the courage and ability to pass through the beginner phase of their dance life.
As a fitness instructor, Tammi guides her students through body awareness, correct form and pushes her students to increase their strength and fitness to feel stronger, fitter, more confident and to ultimately become better dancers.
Tammi manages and performs regularly with her team of dancers in many of Brisbane’s nightclubs, where they take to the stage every Friday and Saturday night entertaining thousands of people. She has had the privilege to perform alongside some of the worlds biggest dj’s and international and national artists. She has danced on stage at some of Australia’s most popular music festivals, most notably Summafieldayze.
Tammi was awarded Mad Dance House’s teacher of the year in 2010 and it is no wonder why, she brings a fun loving, high energy approach to teaching will ensure not only do her students have a great time in class, but that they work hard, sweat, smile, feel great, and leave the studio with a big smile!
